Still Life

Observation from life grounds my process. I attempt to depict shape and color in a way that is true to life and reflects the energy of the objects in front of me. I use the structure of still life painting to study detailed objects such as textile swatches or a piece of fruit in order to figure out how to break them down to their most visually intriguing elements.
